Eid al-Adha (Sacrifice Feast) comes after staying in Arafat, Masha’r and Mina is the feast of deliverance; the day of abandoning everything other than God.
In this day, Haji sacrifices his attachments to this world to disencumber himself toward God. Eid al-Adha is the holiest Eid, the feast of devotion. This is the Eid of ending selfishness; Eid al-Adha is the day of hearts gathering, the hearts which have approached God. This day is when you start a new version of you, free from contaminations… and now, you are in Mina, the same with Abraham who is ready to sacrifice his son, Ismaeel… you have to think; who is your Ismaeel? What is your Ismaeel? What are you going to sacrifice in this day? Is that your vantages, your reputation, your job, your money or …?
You, yourself is the person who knows that; find it and decide, what are you going to sacrifice in this holy day?
Eid al-Adha in Islamic traditions is so much important that Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS) said about it: “if people knew how much reward God gives for sacrifice in this day, theywould borrow money to sacrifice; because with first drop of blood of that sacrifice (animal) its owner is forgiven.”
Imam Hussain (AS) International Campaign congratulates this holy Eid to Muslims all around the world.
